Kesang Tseten Retrospective
Social Science Baha and photo.circle are proud to present the Kesang Tseten Retrospective this weekend from Feb 23-25.
A total of 10 films by acclaimed filmmaker Kesang Tseten will be screened during the retrospective, representing both the breadth of Tseten’s oeuvre as a storyteller and Nepali life in its many dimensions.
Kesang Tseten’s films have been screened at international film festivals around the world. These include the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA), the International Documentary Film Festival of Leipzig, the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, the Kraków Film Festival, The Festival Viennale, the Margaret Mead Film Festival, the Mumbai International Film Festival, Film South Asia and the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, among others. He has received filmmaking grants from Busan International Film Festival, Jan Vrijman Fund and IDFA Bertha Fund, and the Sundance Documentary Institute.
A graduate of Dr Graham’s School in Kalimpong, India, Tseten completed his higher education from Amherst College and Columbia University in the United States.
