Rishi Amatya stumbled into photography a year ago when a windfall gave him just about enough money to buy a camera. He was working as a writer then. The images would compliment his writing, he thought, nourish it and make it more enjoyable to read. With each click, however, he found it was otherwise. Photography opened up a whole new avenue of creative expression for him. Now, both are complimentary in his line of work.
He says he won't be able to give one up for the other. "Images and words, words and images... I rely on images when I run out of words; fall back on the dependency of the words when I need the images to speak a thousand and one words." says Rishi.

Circle of Light
Rishi's collection of images is a reflection of his unique outlook. "When you see things differently, you'll see different things." says Rishi.
