Sam Kang Li
Sam Kang Li Sam Kang Li, born 1984, is a journalism major from Singapore. He interned at Nepali Times from January 2008 to June 2008 as a photographer and visited many parts of Nepal during this period. On long bus journeys out of the valley, he often broke ice with strangers by introducing himself as Shyam Bahadur Tamang, a name that he has since semi-formally adopted. He also prefers to eat dal bat using his hands.

Hamro Nepal
Hamro Nepal is a visual diary of almost all the stories that Sam Kang Li worked on during a very fruitful six months in Nepal, including Tibetan protests, mobile health posts, burns victims and street sports. Most of these pictures were taken before and during the elections, as the country pave way for Naya Nepal.
